Projects

Here you can see an overnieuw of what I have made the last couple of years. It is a combination of my own work, collaborations and productions.

Hangzhou cultural and industrial expo in China

In collaboration with Craft Council Netherlands

On behalf of Crafts Council Netherlands, I traveled toghether with Rink Schelling to China to present the research project (w)aardewerk and to introduce the ten participants of the 2024 and 2025 research groups of (w)aardewerk.

In addition to the presentation, I gave a lecture about my work and led a workshop at a high school in Shanghai.

(W)aardewerk

Own collection in collaboration with Craft Council Netherlands

A research project in colaboration with Craft Council Netherlands.

With (w)aardewerk, Crafts Council Netherlands highlights urgent issues around clay extraction and ceramic production. Although pottery materials come directly from the earth, pollution, drought, mining, biodiversity loss, firing processes, and cheap mass production have made ceramics far from sustainable.

Grapic design duo Team Thursday designed the Kapitaal on request of The Best Dutch Book Designs.

NOMANSLAND

Self initiated exibition in colaboration with Nol Trum & Tim Vermeulen

For three weeks, artists Marieke van Heesbeen, Nol Trum ( photograpy), and Tim Vermeulen (scenography, light art) present an immersive exhibition that merges image, color, and sound.

Instead of a traditional display, they create evolving installations that explore authenticity and materiality, enriched by soundscapes and live performances on Saturdays. Visitors are invited to participate, reflect, and step into their own No Man’s Land a space for imagination and shared artistic experience.

Colaboration with: Nina van Bart & Roel Deden

Designer Nina van Bart teamed up with 3D expert Roel Deden and ceramist Marieke van Heesbeen to create the ‘Tactile Totem’—a project combining digital design with traditional ceramic craft.Through 3D modeling and printing, they explored shapes, colors, and materials in new ways, making the process faster and more flexible. Their collaboration shows how digital tools can enhance creativity, reduce repetitive work, and open up exciting possibilities for designers and makers across disciplines.

KINFILL X Reform

Commisioned presentation initated by Kinfill

For this special event in Copenhagen, I created installations for Kinfill in collaboration with Reform. Four Kinfill fragrances were each paired with a Reform kitchen that reflected the scent’s character and aesthetic. My installations complemented these settings, adding a sculptural and sensory layer to the experience.

Kinfill is a modern care brand that promotes sustainable living through thoughtful design, offering refillable cleaning and home care products.
